Eid Milad-un-Nabi: Public Holiday on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal?

Celebrations Regarding Jashn-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW)



As you are aware the Holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal is approaching. This is the holiest month which carries greatest blessings of Almighty Allah as the Holy Prophet (SAW) was born on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal. All Muslims who love him most dearly await for the birthday of the last Prophet of Allah with all their heart and soul.


12th Rabi ul Awal 2019 - Eid Milad un Nabi 2019 will tentatively be observed on Sunday, 10th of November 2019.



Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, Pakistan has decided to celebrate this event and has arranged a schedule of preparations worthy of the occasion to celebrate all over the country and abroad and wish that all associates, workers and organisers to join in celebrations. Below are some ideas to implement which Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League have already begun:



Rabi-ul-Awal is the third month of Islamic Lunar Calendar which holds great importance and significance in the lives of Muslims. The month of Rabi-ul-Awal comes after Safar-al-Muzaffar and is the most significant month in the Islamic history.










1st Rabi-ul-Awwal:

Each partner to orchestrate a gathering in his family and welcome partners and specialists to introduce respect to the best individual known to mankind (saw) by recounting Darood-o-Salam. This gathering might be day by day held in the place of each partner. Following 10 days an aggregate gathering ought to be orchestrated in any event for one hour and the more often than not might be spent in examining about the raising of the Favored Prophet (saw) for entire of the humankind .



2nd Rabi-ul-Awwal:
Praise Allah and recite Darood-e-Pak for at least one hundred times.


3rd Rabi-ul-Awwal:
Observe a fast in gratitude for the blessing.


4th Rabi-ul-Awwal:
Gift clothes to a needy woman.


5th Rabi-ul-Awwal:
Study the religious status of the birth of Rasool-e-Pak (saw) and collect important references.


6th Rabi-ul-Awwal:
Other than the five regular prayers, offer as many Nawafil (extra prayers) as you can.


7th Rabi-ul-Awwal:
Today cook and eat a nourishment preferred by the Heavenly Prophet (saw) and advise your family to pursue what the Sacred Prophet (saw) did, which is his devout Sunnah.


8th Rabi-ul-Awwal:
One duplicate of Shamael-e-Mustafa might be skilled alongwith an Eid card to a dear one.


9th Rabi-ul-Awwal:

Note: During a public holiday, government offices and most businesses are closed so people have a day off work.



The Government also joins in the festivities by starting the day with an official 31-gun salute at the federal capital and a 21-gun salute in provincial states.


Commemoration of this day differs among people following different Fiqh. Some branches of Islam even forbid these celebrations in light of Sharia law.
